Busch Gardens!

Tami had Melanie all to herself this afternoon, so with our blessing, she took Melanie to Busch Gardens! Tami and Melanie enjoyed the crowds, saw the gorillas, watched an ice show and then finished off the evening with a few kid-friendly amusement rides. Melanie had a ball and didn't want it to end! Once Tami dropped Melanie off at our house, Melanie cried at the doorway for Tami to come back. Looks like we might have to look into some fun passes once Devin comes...

I asked Tami to take a ton of pictures for us - which she did! Pictures are to come

It's a Boy!

We found out on 11/30/11 that Devin Malakai Pitt will be joining us in April, 2012. According to the MD, this will be a big boy too - at least a nine pounder. Yup, we make 'em big in the Pitt house! :)

Melanie's Merry Christmas?

Some of you may recall the sweet, cherubic picture of Melanie on Santa and Ms. Claus' lap last year. Well, we were pretty sure we weren't going to have the same experience this year... and we were right! Melanie sometimes cries when Brian picks her up so we were sure being placed on some stranger's lap, with Mommy being so close by, wouldn't be Melanie's idea of a good time. I tried though! I let Melanie see Santa and other kids sitting on his lap, and told her that Santa was another "Pop Pop". But she wasn't falling for it - nuh-uh!! So we swiped Melanie up off Santa's lap as soon as possible and picked the most tormented of the 4 pictures they took.

Rocky Update

I'm pretty sure I'm starting to feel Rocky doing a little shadow-boxing. It's more prevalent when lying in bed, going to sleep. However, anytime I'm still long enough I might feel a little flutter. It's sweet and odd how real a pregnancy gets when you start feeling the baby move inside you.

"I Got It!"

Melanie and I were enjoying coloring at the table with a big pile of crayons. At first we go over the color names and we draw shapes (her "purple" is freaking adorable!). Every time a crayon rolled off, she said "Uh-oh!", looked down and starts to teeter on the edge of the seat trying to grab the crayon. So I quickly say, "I got it!" and retrieve the crayon. Well, Melanie begins to realize that catching crayons is more fun than coloring, so she starts to drop them on purpose and announce, "I got it!"
