Shoes?
Just a quick note to share with you Melanie's progress in communication. She now clearly states "Mama", "Dada" and "Shoes?"
She's learning to shake her head no and nod her head yes. Although her preferred method is to grunt her responses. No/I really want that is a "Nnnnnnnr!!" While a Yes/May I have that is a "Hunh?"
Ahe also growls when you ask her what sound a tiger makes.
As far as comprehension - she knows exactly what we're saying. We're having fun talking to her & directing her.
"Go to daddy, he has your bottle." and she runs to Brian, who's holding her evening bottle of milk.
"Let's put on your shoes so we can go outside." She brings her shoes to me and sits in my lap to put her shoes on.
"Pet the dog." and she pats Chunk or Tonka's bottom. Usually Tonka, Chunk isn't very cooperative with toddler play.
